Welcome to the webpage of Pura Vida Yoga & Kayak (PV Y&K)!  PV Y&K is owned and operated by Courtney (Court) and Greg Trowse and home base is the little blue boathouse at 29 Coolens Road, Shad Bay, Nova Scotia.  Located just 21.5 km southwest of the Armdale Rotary (Halifax), on route to Peggy’s Cove.

Life comes at us so fast sometimes it’s hard to truly experience the moment, but our small, intimate group sizes, and passionate, inspired, talented instructors help you to breathe deep, connect, and embrace the bliss that comes from truly experiencing the world around us.  So regardless if it’s by boat or bend, kick back, relax, take off your shoes, life seems to slow down here in the Shad, and we want you to enjoy it with us.  

Crisp blue waters, reaching pines, graceful heron and paddling ducks set the backdrop for our adventures.  Looking out from the boathouse doors in the early morning mist you’d swear it was a lake you were looking at,but the cormorants sunning on the rocks give away the secret, it is indeed the ocean.  Just around the corner is Blind Bay, a special place filled with oodles of islands to explore and for the more adventurous the open ocean looms just beyond the Gull Islands, so whether you’re looking to paddle, play yoga, or both, there are a myriad of spectacular locations to choose from.
